Born in Auckland, DJ A-KAY discovered his passion for music at just 9 years old, experimenting with beats and melodies on GarageBand. What started as pure curiosity quickly grew into a drive to shape his own sound, leading him into the high-energy world of Drum & Bass.

Inspired by artists like DJ Shan, Don Darkoe, David Guetta, and Alan Walker, A-KAY blends explosive rhythms with his own creative edge. His sets bring raw energy to the crowd, with a style that pushes between jump-up intensity and melodic flow.

In 2025, DJ A-KAY took to the stage at Wellington’s CubaDupa Festival, marking a huge milestone in his journey from bedroom mixing to live festival energy. With his sights set on producing original tracks and taking over mainstages worldwide, A-KAY is only just getting started.
